This week the ACP gang take on the topic of comics pricing! The price of digital, how overpriced some collections can be, the prices of small press books at conventions and getting your moneys worthall get discussed, as well as some interesting listener polls and emails get read. It's a topic that doesnt get discussed too much, especially by silly shows that make toilet humour seem high brow, but the ACP give it a good go. Theres also the usual comics banter, great comics are discussed, the 80s movie quiz Action Dan gets interesting and theres the debut of a new, emotionally charged segement called 'Ask Aunty Tony'. Its another comical show on every level, so check it out!

What is a comic convention without interaction? Whether its with your audience or with your favourite creator, how those moments go can effect your overall experience of a convention. And so the Awesome Comics gang discuss the high, lows and awkward moments of their con experiences, read out listener messages and some very interesting poll results and an oddly high number of toilet stories. Theres also some talk about Nottingham Comic Con, the trio's opinions on Doctor Strange and theres another Action Dan question to test Mr Butchers action film knowledge. Plus as an extra treat is a small bit of audio from NYCC with Tony and Vera Greenstreet. Basically, theres tons in this episode so check it out and enjoy!

It's that time of year when the Awesome Pod ghouls talk about the world of horror comics. Yes, its the second ACP Halloween Special! Vince and Dan talk terror and horror storytelling pros and cons, and as Tony couldn't make it this week Shaun Dobie (Descending Outlands) steps in and the trio discuss scary books, the classic horror monsters, when horror goes too far and also spins yet more chat based on this weeks spooktacular listener polls. It's classic comics chat with an added twist and plenty of laughs. Theres also another Action Dan question, talk of 'genre' books and Tony is missed (but still makes an appearance... kind of).

Turn the lights down low and put on some Kenny G, because this week the ACP are talking about Sex. In comics of course, and despite everyone thinking that it's going to be immature and crude, the gang tackle various forms of sex in sequential storytelling. Theres talk of books that have had legal challenges due to sexual content, Robert Crumb, sexualised variant covers, results of this weeks listener polls, LOADS more and also the first listener question gets put in for our 80s action movie quiz 'Action Dan'.
Also, Steve Tillotson, creator of the book Untitled Apes Epic Adventure tells us about his brilliant new book, how it came to be and where you can get it.

The new era of the Awesome Pod begins, and we kick off this week with a discussion about the world of modern comic book conventions. With big shows pulling in mega numbers, smaller shows being cancelled and venues being changed (controversially for some) theres plenty of discussion to be had. This week Ryan K Lindsay (Deer Editor, Negative Space) joins the Awesome Pod crew this week to talk about all things comics, from his working processes on his past books, the price of digital books, Michael Bay films and the importance of value for money with Kickstarters' and how he came to be part of the upcoming 2016 DC writers workshop. Its a great comic creation chat with a creator to watch! Also theres a bunch of brilliant books to check out, Vince talks about a creator who he didn't realise was such a big deal, Dan gives himself a challenge in the name pronunciation stakes, Ryan supplies a classic out take and as he couldn't make it this week... everyone misses Tony.
