Its episode 17, and to celebrate our first Halloween Special Vince, Dan and Tony talk to Chris Sides and Chris Travell of Redshift Press about their dark work, including upcoming ghost tale Whispering Sands. We discuss the horror genre in the sequential medium, the difficulties in making something truly scary in comics, our horror 'thresholds', the importance of context and how cinema has influenced todays crop of horror creators (which leads to plenty of nice horror movie chat). Theres some great spooky and horrific books for you to check out, Vince does his best Boris Karloff, Dan begins a reaction video paradox and Tony reveals what he gives any Trick or Treaters who dare to approach his house.

It's a laugh filled mega episode this week as awesome artist and one third of Reckless Hero Studios Chris Imber joins the ACP trio this week to talk about his action-packed series The Last Sheriff, his work past, present and future with RH and his fascinating art process. Theres also talk about influences from the 90s, and plenty of convention chat as not only has Tony returned from NYCC but he and Vince were at Leamington Comic Con, where they got a few audio clips stuffed with unprofessionalism! It's a real history lesson this week as John Freeman of Down the Tubes, Crucible and many more joins Vince, Dan and Tony to talk about all things comics. Theres talk about the latest webcomic site Tapastic and its benefits for comic book creators, Johns own creations over the years and everyone has a reminiscing session about the books they had access to and read when they were kids. If you're in the mood for some history about the UK comic scene then this is the episode for you. Also theres some proper talk about the Lakes International Comics Fest, Vince attempts to say the name Alan Moore in the sexiest way possible, Tony tells us whether he is allowed out of the country for NYCC and Dan reveals he's been watching more violent 80s action films.

Up and coming artist Brian Vander joins Vince, Dan and Tony to chat about his action sci-fi book World of Grey, the origins of it and his art influences and process, which lends to a lot of arty chat. There is also some serious talk about faux-rage journalism and harassment in the comics world and we all discuss the murky topic of selling major I.P. as prints at conventions. Fear not though, theres also the usual madcap humour, brilliant book recommendations and sexy times had by all. Dan reveals his adventures with trains, Vince wants to start a Predator 2 revolution and Tony gets giddy with excitement over his upcoming trip to New York Comic-Con. DON'T MISS IT!
