This week Laura Trinder, artist of the brilliant Night Post, does her best to improve the behaviour of Vince, Dan and Tony and almost succeeds until things go downhill in the usual ACP fashion. Its episode 17, and to celebrate our first Halloween Special Vince, Dan and Tony talk to Chris Sides and Chris Travell of Redshift Press about their dark work, including upcoming ghost tale Whispering Sands. We discuss the horror genre in the sequential medium, the difficulties in making something truly scary in comics, our horror 'thresholds', the importance of context and how cinema has influenced todays crop of horror creators (which leads to plenty of nice horror movie chat). It's a laugh filled mega episode this week as awesome artist and one third of Reckless Hero Studios Chris Imber joins the ACP trio this week to talk about his action-packed series The Last Sheriff, his work past, present and future with RH and his fascinating art process. Theres also talk about influences from the 90s, and plenty of convention chat as not only has Tony returned from NYCC but he and Vince were at Leamington Comic Con, where they got a few audio clips stuffed with unprofessionalism!
